The Swiss‑American Chamber of Commerce – Southern California (Swiss AmCham SoCal) is pleased to invite applications for the 2026 Avantgarde Award, the Chamber’s highest distinction honoring exceptional Swiss‑American organizations and leaders shaping the future of business, innovation, and transatlantic collaboration.
Created in 2023, the Avantgarde Award has rapidly evolved into the “Oscar of Swiss Impact & Entrepreneurship in the United States,” celebrating organizations whose vision, execution, and impact set new benchmarks for excellence in the Swiss‑American business ecosystem.
The 2026 Avantgarde Award winner will be announced at the Avantgarde Award Gala on November 7, 2026, at the Jonathan Club in Los Angeles.

What the Avantgarde Award Recognizes
​The Avantgarde Award honors a company, organization, or individual that demonstrates:
Outstanding innovation and leadership

• Measurable economic and societal impact in the United States
• Strong Swiss‑American business ties
• Sustainable, forward‑looking strategy
• Contribution to strengthening transatlantic economic relations

Unlike the theme‑specific Stewardship Award, the Avantgarde Award takes a holistic view, recognizing excellence across industries—from technology, manufacturing, and life sciences to finance, sustainability, consumer goods, and beyond.

Organizations and individuals with a Swiss‑American business angle are encouraged to apply, including:

• Established companies
• High‑growth scale‑ups and SMEs
• University spin‑offs
• Non‑profit or hybrid organizations
• Visionary business leaders and entrepreneurs

Applicants may operate at any stage of maturity, provided they demonstrate clear impact, ambition, and relevance within the Swiss‑American economic landscape.

The Top 3 finalists will be selected following a structured review and invited to participate in the final stage of the competition.
