Together with Helvetas, we are helping build a trail bridge in Tununguo, Tanzania — connecting an isolated community to education, healthcare and economic opportunity.
Why this bridge matters
In Tununguo, seasonal flooding can cut communities off from schools, healthcare and markets. A safe trail bridge will provide reliable, year-round access—reducing dangerous crossings and helping families reach the services and opportunities they depend on.
The map shows the future bridges planned for construction in the region. Our bridge for the village of Tununguo is the one marked “Kisanga Stand.”
